FAQ
How do I create my NCCER number
Beginning Summer 2023, individuals must enter their own personal information to have an NCCER card number generated for them. Instructors and proctors will no longer be able to enter information on behalf of their learners or assessment takers to have card numbers generated for them. However, appropriate accommodations will be made for correctional facilities.
Why is NCCER changing this process?
Privacy and security of records: NCCER is committed to the privacy and security of all individuals who interact with our systems. With the new process, individuals will enter their own personal information and create a secure password.
Individuals own their credentials: Individuals will access their own credentials, transcripts, score reports and training prescriptions, and maintain their NCCER personal profile through their online NCCER account.
Electronic Terms and Conditions provide ease and efficiency in agreeing to all NCCER disclosures: This includes registration, release, responsibilities and liabilities agreements. Paper release forms will no longer be maintained for auditing purposes.
How will individuals get their NCCER Card Number beginning on Summer 2023?
Through an efficient, single process that includes creating an NCCER account and generating a unique NCCER card number from the NCCER website.
– Card numbers can be generated from a mobile device or a computer.
– If an individual already has an NCCER card number, that number will automatically be added to their account. Information entered must match the information on their NCCER record for the card number to be.
